12 Steps to AI Fluency is designed for working professionals across three situations: those who use AI every day but want a more structured and confident approach; those who have been curious about AI but haven't known where to start; and those who have tried other AI courses only to find themselves lost in technical theory that feels remote from their actual work.

No prior technical knowledge is required. No coding. No jargon. The course focuses on what you can do with AI — not on how it works under the hood.

If you have been using AI tools extensively and independently for a year or more, and you're already comfortable evaluating outputs, refining prompts, and applying AI across different contexts with confidence and judgment, you may find the course covers ground you've already explored. The course typically takes between 3 and 5 hours to complete, depending on your pace, how much time you spend on reflection activities, and whether you sit the optional assessment. It is divided into two parts — Foundations and Practice — which can be taken together or separately depending on your needs and your organisation's deployment preferences.

On successful completion of the assessment — 30 questions, 80% pass mark — you receive an AI Fluency Certificate and a digital badge which you can share on LinkedIn or include in your professional profile.

Throughout the course you also have access to the AI Fluency Learning Journal — a structured resource designed to support reflection and the practical application of what you've learned.

Yes. The course is entirely self-paced. There are no live sessions, no deadlines, and no cohorts. You can start, stop, and return to the course at any time — your progress is saved automatically.

Yes. The course is fully bilingual — available in both English and Spanish. Both versions are complete and equivalent in content and quality. The Spanish version has been carefully localised rather than simply translated, with cultural adaptation throughout.

For the best experience, we recommend completing the course on a laptop or desktop computer. The hands-on activities involve working directly with AI tools alongside the course content, which is much easier to do on a larger screen — ideally with the course and the AI tool open side by side.

The course is accessible on mobile and tablet, but the activity format is best suited to a full-size screen.

Yes. The course is SCORM compatible and can be deployed on any SCORM-compliant LMS. It is also hosted on SCORMcloud for organisations that do not have their own LMS, or that prefer a hosted solution.

The course is delivered as two separate SCORM packages. The first contains the full course content across both parts — Foundations and Practice. The second contains the assessment: 30 questions, 80% pass mark, which issues the AI Fluency Certificate and digital badge on completion.

Delivering the assessment as a separate package gives your LMS administrator full control over the learner journey. For example, you can:

• Restrict access to the assessment until learners have completed the course content
• Require submission of the Learning Journal before the assessment is unlocked
• Track completion of each component independently in your LMS reporting

Yes. We offer pilots for organisations that want to evaluate the course before purchasing a team or organisation-wide licence. A pilot gives a small group of learners access to the full course so you can assess content quality, learner experience, and fit for your context before committing.
